Remington 700 ???????????

06 is a great multipurpose cartridge and a rem 700 are excellent guns. Can't go wrong with either. I do agree with previous poster who said that there are better options than a 06 depending on what you are hunting but a 06 will do for anything in NA. But if you are just hunting deer you may consider a smaller cartridge that will work just as well while having less noise/recoil. If you are hunting primarily elk or grizzly you may want a 338 win mag. If you are hunting pronghorn you may want a 270.
