Fallout New Vegas Honest Hearts Jeb Glitch?

I downloaded Honest Hearts and everything was going fine until I finally told Jeb that I was ready to go. He said that I needed to tell my companions to stay, but even after I did he keeps replying with the same response. My companions were rex and boone. I've never had or ever interacted with ed-e. Does anybody know whats wrong?
