Is there any evidence for astrotheology being the root of Christianity, among other religions?

I am only interested in objectively validating or refuting the claims that Christianity is based in astrological allegory. I've read numerous debates...supposedly the Zeitgeist movie is full of exaggerations, yet Christians refuse to consider anything contrary to their beliefs. I have no religious affiliation; please, no faith-based answers. I'm just looking for places to further research the pro-astrotheology assertions. There are so many various points of view about the origins of Christanity that I don't know what to believe, and would like to do my own research. Many thanks.
